Associated directors

Dr. Eduardo Vendrell Vidal, Ing.Paed.IGIP

Eduardo Vendrell Vidal (Carlet, Spain, 1967) has a degree in Computer Science (1991) from the School of Informatics of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), and a PhD in Computer Science from the same university (2001).

He is an International Engineering Educator ING.PAED.IGIP certified by the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy, IGIP (2018).

Since 1991 he has been a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in the Department of Systems Engineering and Control, currently attached to the School of Informatics (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Informática, ETSINF). He teaches CAD/CAM, 3D and Robotics topics in the Informatics BEng, Industrial Informatics and Robotics BSc, taught at the ETSINF, and in the MSc in Industrial Informatics and Control of the UPV.

He has been involved in different national and international research projects and has published papers in research conferences and journals in the field of CAD/CAM, 3D and Robotics.

He has contributed as a member of organizing committees in different national and international events related to engineering education and coordinated projects on teaching innovation and adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

He has been Vice-Rector for Studies, Quality and Accreditation at the UPV from 2017 to 2021.

He has been Vice-Dean of Academic Planning and Head of Studies at the Faculty of Informatics from 2001 to 2009, Director of the School of Informatics (ETSINF) between 2009 and 2017, and President of the Spanish Council of Deans and Directors of Informatics (CODDII) from 2012 to 2017.

He is an expert advisor to the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and a member of the Institutional Accreditation Committee of the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Castilla y León (ACSUCYL) in Spain.

He is also a member of the Engineering Education Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and of the Executive Board of the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE). He was President of EQANIE from 2015 to 2017.

Dr. Uriel R. Cukierman, Ing.Paed.IGIP h.c.

Electronic Engineer by UTN (Argentina). M.Sc. in Information Technologies by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). PhD in Education by Universidad de Buenos Aires

Currently serves as Researcher and Professor at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) in the position of Director of the Center for Educational Research and Innovation (CIIE), and as Research Professor at the University of New Mexico (USA). Also Associate Director at innovaHiEd Academy, President of the Argentine Section and Executive Committee member of the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP), Member of the Institute for Engineering Education at the National Academy of Engineering. He regularly teaches courses on education as a visiting professor in various universities at home and abroad, particularly on topics related to Competency-Based Education, Learning Technologies and other directly related issues.

Previously served as Dean at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Palermo, President of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) and Member of the Executive Committee of the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC), Secretary of Information and Communication Technologies at UTN, Director of the bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology at UTN, Director of the Electronics Department at Technical School ORT. Has almost forty years of teaching experience in various public and private institutions. Works of his authorship have been published in various media, as well as in national and international scientific publications. Has published four books, five book chapters and more than fifty papers and other scientific and academic documents.

Has been awarded as Honorary Professor at Ricardo Palma University (Peru), IEOM Distinguished Educator Award (USA) and IGIP International Engineering Educator Award (Austria).

Mgr. María Paz Araya Cabrera, Ing.Paed.IGIP

Teacher of Basic Sciences at the University of Playa Ancha (UPLA Chile) with a master’s in environmental education awarded by UPLA, also International Engineering Educator ING Certification. PAED. IGIP. Currently Undergraduate Coordinator of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Valparaíso Chile, where she develops technical-pedagogical, curriculum and research advice in university teaching, she also performs teaching in cross-cutting training for first-year students.

MSc. María Francisca Barrios Benavides Ing.Paed.IGIP

Francisca has dedicated herself to expand sustainable development opportunities working from academia, governmental organizations and NGOs. She has specialized in Education for Sustainable Development and 21st Century Skills. Currently, she’s developing and strengthening circular economy models at a local level, geared toward the protection of marine ecosystems. Francisca is a Fulbright Scholar and Master of Education from Harvard University.

Ing. Lic. Laureano Correa

Chemical engineer. Degree in philosophy. University professor in Ethics and Bioethics at UNS (Argentina). Researcher in Ethics, Bioethics and Philosophy of the technique. Member of the Center for Bioethical Research, Bahía Blanca, Province of Bs. As., And of the Center for Studies of Philosophy of Culture.

Mg. Ing. María Teresa Garibay

Civil Engineer. Master in Educational Processes Mediated by Technology. She was dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying- UNR and Director of the School of Civil Engineering. She is IFEES Vice President of Capacity Building. She has more than 40 years of university teaching experience. She has published articles related to teaching of engineering, use of technology to teach and development of skills.

Dra. Susana R. Glikman

Medical Psychotherapist - Emotional Health - Master Trainer PNL - Private systemic psychotherapist and Member of the Staff and the Community Prevention and Clinical Care Team of the Argentine Systemic School - Coordinator and teacher of Neurolinguistic Programming courses.

Ing. G. Ivonne Gutiérrez Montenegro, Ing.Paed.IGIP

Electrical Engineer, graduated from USACH. I have a diploma in University Teaching awarded by UFRO and Certification International Engineering Educator. She is a Computer Engineer, graduated from the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Tecnología de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. Currently she works as Academic Secretary of the FACET - UNT and Associate Professor of the subjects Computer Science and Programming I. She is a Certifier in University Evaluation and Accreditation of CONEAU and a Category 4 Researcher - CIUNT of the Incentive Program for Research Teachers of National Universities. She is a member of CEDITE – FACET - UNT and has extensive training in Distance Education

 

Norberto Lerendegui, M.Sc., P.E., Ing.Paed.IGIP, IEEE Senior Member

Full professor at UNSAM (www.unsam.edu.ar). He has more than 35 years of academic activity, 17 of them as Capstone Project professor, and 22 years of continuous professional activity in the biomedical instrumentation industry, as designer and R&D manager. He was dean of the school of engineering and technology, bioengineering department director and mechatronics laboratory director at ITBA (www.itba.edu.ar).

PhD Antonio Molina Marco

Associate Professor in the Universitat Politècnica de València (www.upv.es). Holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from de UPV (2004). More than 25 years of academic activity in the fields of software engineering, project management and natural language processing. He was Head of Studies of the Informatics School of UPV from 2010 to 2017, and Dean in 2017. Since 2019, he is the Head of the Educational Supporting Center of the UPV.
